Cannot save Wordperfect 8 files with Windows 8

Solution

Open Word Perfect           

1. Disable the Enhanced File Dialogs in Word Perfect. 
Click on Tools --> Settings --> Files

2. Uncheck Use enhanced file dialogs. Click Apply --> OK 

You may also need to change permissions in security settings for the program.  go to the desktop icon. Right click, select security tab an enable write permission.
