November 2014
Hi Region 8 Officers,
This edition of NOOZ is being sent to the President, APCUG Representative, Newsletter Editor, Webmaster, Program Chair, Membership Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President, and Director of each APCUG-member User Group.
We urge you to share the information by including it in your newsletter, posting it on your website, or e-mailing it to members of your group.
Bill is out of the country on travel so I’m sending NOOZ for him. /Judy
If you have members who have received the Microsoft call re your computer has problems, good news -- the FTC has halted the computer technical support scams based out of Florida. http://bitly.com/1qgRu04
Has your group scheduled a VTC video for a meeting presentation? How about someone from the Speakers Bureau? Several groups schedule one or the other one month with a ‘real’ person presenting in alternate months. In this day of having problems finding an in-person presenter other than a club member, it certainly makes the program chair’s job easier. Check out the SB and VTC pages on www.apcug2.org. You will need a log-in / password for the website to access the SB page. Both are under the Benefits tab. If you have a log-in / password for the UGLS, you need a different one for the website. Just click on Create an Account.
Does Bill receive your newsletter? If not, please add him to your distribution list. bjames@apcug.org
